Apologetics Week 3

Jan 25, 2026    Rev. Garrett Hall

The Week 3 lesson, “Why Should I Trust the Bible?”, wrestled honestly with how strange and difficult Scripture can be—talking snakes, miracles, judgment—and why many people assume it’s just a man-made tool for control or a “Catholic book” picked by powerful leaders. We looked at how the Gospels function as historical testimony, not mere inspirational stories, and how the New Testament canon was recognized, not invented, by the early church. We also clarified that Christian faith is not “believing without evidence,” but a reasonable trust grounded in what God has done in history and centered on the crucified and risen Jesus.
